After reading the book of Daniel and doing reviews on it, I’ve gotten so much enlightenment and I would definitely feel guilty if I don’t share some of it.
Today, I would like to focus on Daniel 1:4 which reads: “Children in whom were no BLEMISH, but well favoured, and skillful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had the ability in them to stand in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of Chaladeans”. The quoted scripture tells us the attributes of Daniel. I personally find it fascinating that a a child,Daniel was one “in whom was no blemish”.
First or all, what is a blemish? A blemish refers to a MORAL DEFECT, a flaw which spoils the appearance of something beautiful! As a child, Daniel was able to exempt himself from this!
As children of God, can we say we are like Daniel? Can we boldly say that we are without defects and blemish? Is there a secret flaw that we have or a secret sin that we commit? Think deeply about this. Make a decision right now not to condone blemish anymore! If you don’t, it would be impossible to stand before the father! Jehovah cannot stand blemish!!!
Remember that at the time when Daniel was described to be without blemish, he was only a child! A child!! Now tell me if a child could have purposed in his heart not to defile himself, if he could have decided that he didn’t want to have blemish in him, what is stopping you from doing the same?? Why do you still go back to that porn site everyday instead of praying?? Why!??
I challenge you right now! Go before the father and ask him to get rid ofthe blemish in you. Pray endlessly!! He said: “come unto me o ye that are heavy laden and I would give you rest”. What other invitation do you need??
Lastly, if Daniel was able to stand before a king because he had no blemish, imagine how far you would go in life without any form of sin to mess things up for you.
Discussion: what practical steps can be taken to get rid of blemish? I await you in the comment section 😁❤️
